The Lewisville Fire Ants nipped the Jefferson Park Penguins 4 to 3 at the
ballpark in a hard fought contest.
Lewisville wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a
single run. Jefferson Park made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable
to push the needed runs across.
The victory was credited to Mark Buehrle(16-14) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Buehrle got relief help from Jesus Colome who gained credit
for his 5th save. Brandon Webb(13-8) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered
1 run and 4 hits in 6 innings.
